Glenn Scott - President-Elect

A native Texas with roots in Fort Worth, Glenn has recently retired after working for 31 years as a union organizer and advocate 1970s in Austin 1970s and 1980s. Along with a group of fellow feminists, Glenn helped start a non-profit organization that produced educational videos about women’s history in the 1970s. A number of these documentaries focused on telling the stories of under-represented groups in Texas.

Many of Glenn’s mentors were early members of the National Women’s Political Caucus, and include Sally Shipman, Janna Zumbrun, Amalia Rodriguez Mendoza, Marta Cotera, Wilhelmina Delco, Cecilia Burke, Sara Clark, and many more. Glenn had the great fortune to become friends with that force of Nature, Linda Young, in the 1990s and was recruited to the NWPC.

As President-Elect of the Texas chapter of the NWPC, Glenn is proud to promote feminist values and advocate for women in the political sphere in the great state of Texas who share those values.
